College Goal Sunday is:

•        A national initiative to increase college access for low-income families and first-generation  
         students as well as those with no tradition of pursuing education beyond high school.
•        A volunteer, charitable program which provides hands-on assistance in filling out the FAFSA and
•        Attempts to reduce or eliminate one major barrier to postsecondary education: applying fo
        Financial aid.
•       In 2006: 25 states
•       In 2007: 34 states
•       College Goal Sunday is a volunteer-run program in 39 states throughout the US
