Accelerating Opportunity
Accelerating Opportunity – A Breaking Through Initiative is supporting states across the country to ensure more workers have the skill they need for today’s high quality jobs through innovative adult education practices that provide valuable job credentials. The initiative is being spearheaded at the national level by Jobs for the Future in conjunction with several partner organizations and philanthropic supporters.
New Mexico is one of eleven states that has been granted funds for the design of innovative adult education career pathways that enable adult students to earn stackable, marketable credentials in conjunction with basic skills training.
The Adult Education Division of the Higher Education is coordinating the project in partnership with several colleges, State Agencies, and Workforce partners.
